First Friday Exhibition (1st Fridays, 4-6:00pm) Our Sacred & Profane Art Gallery invites everyone to join us every First Friday to meet local artists, experience live art demonstrations, and enjoy light refreshments. The current Gallery exhibition is Peace, Justice & Loving Our Neighbors, a collection of works that evoke civil discourse about human suffering, hope of reconciliation, and peaceful coexistence

Monthly LGBTQ+ & Allies Line Dancing (4th Thursdays 5:30pm-6:30pm) 

March meeting takes place Wed. March 25- no event in Nov./Dec.

LGBTQ+ folks and their allies are invited to The New Room at Sedona UMC. Come learn beginning line dances from an excellent teacher to a mix of musical genres. No previous experience necessary, bring friends!  This event is free, but donations are welcome. Afterwards stay for community & potluck--you are welcome to stay even if you don't bring food! WOMEN'S BOOK CIRCLE Tuesdays 10am, continues April 28

​​Multikulti Workshop with Lunch — "What We Caught, What We Were Taught, and What We Bought" (Saturday April 18, 2026 | 8:30am coffee to 3:30pm | The New Room) An exploration of multicultural awareness led by Rev. Anthony Mtuaswa Johnson & Rev. Dr. Donna Cavedon. This workshop will make you laugh, look deeper, and let go of the stereotypes that keep us from becoming the family of humanity we truly are. Sedona Wind Phone Dedication (Saturday, April 18, 2026 11:00am)

Sedona UMC invites you to join us in the outdoor courtyard by The New Room for the dedication of the Sedona Wind Phone. Originating in Japan, the Wind Phone concept is now a worldwide phenomenon meant to honor lost loved ones, and to create a place of remembrance, comfort and connection. This phone will never ring, and yet it connects our hearts and minds through love, and sends our messages beyond the veil. It is meant for those whose hearts cry out to speak with a loved one, to say hello or goodbye and to speak of the past, the present and the future.

Earth Day Event with N. Az Climate Change Alliance — Where Do We Find Hope? (Wednesday April 22, 2026 | 1:00–3:00pm | The New Room). Join Dr. Stefan Sommer and Dr. Frances Riemer for a discussion on finding hope through action as climate change accelerates. Free forum.

 

Art Journaling Class 2 (April 28 & 29 | 12:30pm-4pm)

1st time students are welcome to attend! Join Instructor Kari Valles at the Sedona UMC Sacred & Profane Art Academy for this fun 2 day class! Students will learn to make pages through many different creative & new techniques. Through a variety of layering, painting, writing and drawing each student will find their unique style for their journals. The instructor will help each student along the way learn skills so that they can continue their art journals after the class is over. Cost $150/ all materials provided.  $25 gift certificate for future classes to returning students who bring their supplies from last time. $25 gift certificate for future classes to students who bring a friend.
