Moses answered, “Don’t be afraid! Stand your ground, and you will see what the Lord will do to save you today; you will never see these Egyptians again. The Lord will fight for you, and all you have to do is keep still.” (Exodus 14:13-14)

Have you ever found yourself in a predicament? I think for everyone reading this message the answer is yes! Who hasn’t! We have a lot of word pictures in the English language to describe being in a predicament—We hear phrases such as “you sure have painted yourself into a corner”, “up against the wall”, “in a pickle”, “in a pinch”, “in a jam”, or “in a tight squeeze.”

One of the best expressions that fits our passage must be “between a rock and a hard place.” When God has brought you to the place where there are few solutions, He has reasons beyond what you may be able to see at this point. But take heart, God never leaves you or forsakes you or leaves you “in a corner” for long. With God, there is always a way out, and if you trust in Him, He will lead you just as He did with the Israelite people on the shores of the Red Sea.
