Job just can’t find comfort or relief … he is losing hope … he is struggling … his strength is deficient … he feels forsaken … and his very existence seems loathsome. All the long nights of misery and all the physical, relational and emotional torment has taken its toll and left him confused and at his wits end.

Job knows God has the ultimate authority over all. He trusts that God sees him and watches over him and cares about his intense suffering. Job also knows God has the authority to stop it at any time—And Job continually pleads with God to step in and do something.

We’ve all asked the question…”why me? Horrible things happen in life and we wonder what God is punishing us for. Join us this week at Sedona United Methodist Church as Rev. Pam Wagner will be our guest preacher using the Biblical story of Job to tackle the question of “Why?”
