I can’t remember how many times I have felt like God was a million miles away and then, in an instant, I recognized that He was actually closer than I could possibly imagine.
The Bible says in Psalm 22:3 that He actually lives and dwells in our praises. This is the mystery and the miracle of the breakthrough power and presence of God when we worship! When we worship, we affirm the truth of God’s Word, and it is being rooted deep in our hearts.
Every person is created to be a worshiper. God dwells and manifests Himself in the praises of His people. Worship is a declaration of our weakness and God’s strength. When we worship God, He is at work doing incredible and powerful things. We get refocused, refreshed and refueled; we find unspeakable joy and indescribable peace.
We discover the breakthrough strength of God, which enables us to walk in the truth, live in His presence and watch Him fight our battles for us. It is how we can put the beauty of the Gospel on display, receive His many blessings and at the same time be a blessing to others. Join us this week at Sedona United Methodist Church as the Rev. Fred Mast shares an inspirational message entitled “The Heart of Worship”.
Sunday mornings we enter the spirit of worship featuring meaningful and uplifting music, special times of prayer and passionate life changing messages designed to move you closer in your relationship with Jesus Christ and others. We have temporarily suspended our On-Site Worship and Fellowship Time as an extreme precaution due to the Covid-19 virus outbreak. We are currently offering On-Line Worship—Please check our website and Facebook page for worship access and the latest details.
We have also temporarily suspended all of our studies, events, and all community meetings with the exception of small support groups (AA, Al anon, Grief Groups, Alzheimer’s Group) which will make a case by case decision as whether they will meet. Please check with your group prior to their meeting.
