Ready for a Party, A Great Movie, & An Awesome Weekend of Events?—
FRIDAY NIGHT!—(December 20th) beginning at 6:00PM (in our Fellowship Hall) It’s Our Annual Movie Night-Christmas Party and you are invited to join us!!! Bring your favorite appetizer to share—We’ll supply the drinks, cups, plates, and silverware. Our featured movie this month will be “The Christmas Candle” — From Bestselling Author Max Lucado comes this heartwarming story of Christmas in the tiny Village of Gladbury. We will have closed captioning enabled which has proved to be very helpful for all. Come hungry! This a FREE event as always so invite, pick up, and bring your friends and family—and YES, we will have movie treats and nacho’s.
On Sunday morning at 9:30 am join us as we continue our Advent Sermons. This week we celebrate Peace and I will share a message entitled “Let It Begin With Me!” Immediately following worship as always, we will gather together in our Fellowship Hall for our weekly fellowship and greeting time—This week featuring “The Twelve Soups of Christmas”, delicious snacks and awesome coffee! All are invited to come and make a new friendship with the “most welcoming and friendly congregation” anywhere!
Sunday afternoon at 3PM—Come back as we welcome the Cottonwood Community Band in our beautiful sanctuary. “C’est Noel!” is French for “It Is Christmas” and this is the theme for this special festive concert. Come and enjoy themes from traditional carols, take a “Midnight Sleighride”, watch “Shepherds Dance”, and “Stowaway on Santa’s Sleigh”. There should be over 50 musicians to entertain us. All are invited and welcomed!!!
So many great opportunities to invite, pick-up, and bring someone to SUMC to join in the exciting missions and ministries happening in the life of this great congregation—See you this weekend!
Grace & Peace,
Pastor Fred
