Ready for Dinner, A Great Movie & An Amazing Sabbath Sunday Worship?
TOMORROW NIGHT!—Friday evening (September 14th) beginning at 6:00PM (Fellowship Hall) you are invited to join us for our monthly “2nd Friday Movie Night”. Our featured movie this month will be “A Question of Faith”, a great movie about families discovering God’s love, grace, and mercy even in the midst of the most difficult struggles. Dinner will be served as always before the movie featuring an amazing (Mast Family Favorite) Chicken Cheesy Biscuit Casserole, Walldorf salad, tossed salad and of course delicious desserts. This a FREE event as always so invite, pick up, and bring your friends and family—and of course, we will have movie popcorn, nachos and treats.
On Sunday morning at 9:30 am join us as Pastor Fred continues a series of messages focused on Rediscovering Our Spiritual Gifts. This week we will focus on “Body Building”—Building up the Body of Christ for the Transformation of the World. Jesus spoke constantly to us about the importance of every single member of the body—and our ability to have a divine effect on the world around us as we join together as “One Body” in Christ.
Immediately following worship as always, we will gather together in our Fellowship Hall for our weekly fellowship and greeting time which will feature lots of delicious snacks and the coffee! All are invited to come and make a new friendship with the “most welcoming and friendly congregation” anywhere!
THIS IS REALLY—REALLY IMPORTANT!!!—Pastor Fred will hold a very short presentation on the “State of the Church” during Fellowship. I would ask that all members, regular attenders, and friends of SUMC please come and lend this Pastor your ear for a brief time as we celebrate and look forward in visioning toward the future. Please plan on attending.
