In Mark 10:17-22, the story is told of a man who thought following the Ten Commandments was all that was needed to get to heaven but Jesus asked the man to leave his wealth and the man could not. The man was not willing to be changed. Jesus invites us to come just as we are and accepts us for who we are but as we encounter Jesus–especially as we come to know our savior–we continue our lives as individuals who are never the same again. Join Pastor Fred Mast as we worship at Sedona United Methodist Church on Sundays at 9:30. Sunday School and childcare is available every week.
The Sedona and Verde Valley community is invited to a “Family Movie Night” at Sedona UMC. Every 2nd Friday of the month, next show on October 9th at 6:30pm, we will come together to watch a great movie. The first one in September was a big hit so join Pastor Fred Mast as your host. There will be popcorn and snacks. This event is free, so bring out the kids to enjoy! The movie this month is sure to be a big hit and it may or may not have something to do with golf…
Trunk or Treat is coming on Halloween from 5 to 7pm–come see what ghoulish fun can happen in the church parking lot. Don’t forget our very successful ESOL program on Tuesday nights.
