Join Pastor Fred and the people of Sedona United Methodist Church as we celebrate “World Communion Sunday” with some good “Old Fashion–Old Testament” stories of how we have become the Christian tradition we have become today.   “One bread, One Body, One Table” is the sermon title using Deuteronomy 6:4-9 as scripture.  All are welcome at the United Methodist table so come and be filled up by God’s Word and by Christ’s Holy Banquet.

October is full of fun events.  We will pack food to support Kids Against Hunger at the Cottonwood Fairgrounds on October 3rd.  Trunk or Treat is coming on Halloween from 5 to 7pm–come see what ghoulish fun can happen in the church parking lot.  The community is also invited to a “Family Movie Night” at Sedona UMC.  Next show will be on October 9th at 6:30pm, we will come together to watch a great movie.  The first one in September was a big hit so join Pastor Fred Mast as your host.  There will be popcorn and snacks.  Family Movie Night is free, so bring out the kids to enjoy.  The movie will be entertaining for all ages.

Did you know Sunday School and childcare is available every week?  Mark your calendars for the Holiday Boutique which will be November 14th from 9 am to 3 pm.  Get all your Holiday shopping done on one day!  Chancel choir practice is in full swing and you can join anytime.  Thursdays at 6:30 upstairs, just come with a smile and an interest in singing beautiful music.  Don’t forget our very successful ESOL program on Tuesday nights.

Sedona United Methodist Church is located at 110 Indian Cliffs Road, off the Back O’Beyond rotary on Route 179, in Sedona and worship starts at 9:30 each Sunday in the sanctuary.  Childcare available.  Visit our website or call 928-282-1780 for more information on worship, Family Movie Night, to hear past services, for missions, Bible study (we have many groups tailored to the way you like to learn), Sunday School (follows school year), youth events, and any of the many activities of our church.  If you need a ride to church, call us!  We have people in your area very happy to give you a ride.
