Sedona UMC altarThe earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it.  God entrusts us with material wealth–the earth and its fruit–and entrusts us with the responsibility of stewards to manage those resources on God’s behalf.  In turn, God wants to provide for all our needs out of the wealth we manage.  Our stewardship requires our investment of our work, wisdom, and effort in God’s Kingdom–not for our own benefit, but for the benefit of God, God’s people, and God’s Creation.  In the Parable of the Talents, found in Matthew 25:14-30, a servant who ‘does no harm’ by simply returning the wealth he has been entrusted with receives his master’s displeasure; the owner expects his stewards to multiply the assets entrusted to each of them.  As people of faith, we are called to multiply God’s Kingdom in our management of God’s creation, as well as the time, talents, and treasures God entrusts us with.  Please join Sedona United Methodist Church for Worship on Sunday, April 27th as Rev. Matt Ashley shares the message, “Multiplying God’s Kingdom.”

Sedona UMC is located at 110 Indian Cliffs Road, just off the Back O’ Beyond roundabout on Route 179 in Sedona.  Nursery and Sunday School every week and all are welcome!  The community is invited to the All Church Swap Meet on Saturday, May 3rd from 8:00am until noon.  Members of the congregation will sell their garage sale items, the UMW will have a bake sale and the church library “The Good Book Nook” will be selling books.  Proceeds benefit the programs and ministries at the church.
