Children are a precious gift from God, but children are suffering – not only throughout the world, but right here in the United States and right here in Sedona. According to the National Center for Children in Poverty, more than 16 million children in the United States – 22% of all children – live in families with incomes below the federal poverty level. According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, there were a nationally estimated 686,000 victims of child abuse and neglect in 2012. How are followers of Jesus called to respond to the suffering of these little ones?
