“The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel—Which means ‘God is with us’.” (Isaiah 7:14)

There are many reasons why a baby named Jesus was born into our world, but one of the most important was so that we would never have to be alone—so that you would never have to face a dark night or a cold world or a lost cause on your own. Because someone is here for you, someone who understands you, knows your fears, and remembers your sorrows. Someone who is committed to you. Someone who knew you before you knew yourself. Someone who wants to walk through this world with you.

In our world today it seems it is so very easy for individuals to make promises, but so much harder to actually keep the promises made. Parents make promises to their children, married couples make promises to one another, friends make promises to friends, and people of faith often make promises they find difficult to keep.

There is no promise more wondrous, more empowering, or more real than the promise of Christmas—In Jesus Christ, God is Emmanuel, God with you today, tomorrow, and forever! Join us this Sunday at Sedona United Methodist Church as Rev. Fred Mast delivers an Advent message entitled “The One Promise You Can Count On!”

Sunday mornings we enter the spirit of worship at 9:30am featuring meaningful and uplifting music, special times of prayer and passionate life changing messages designed to move you closer in your relationship with Jesus Christ and others. We look forward to seeing you!

As we strive to keep our congregation and community safe and healthy, we will observe physical distancing and limited seating worship so visit our website or call our church office to reserve your seat for worship.
