Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

On Sunday morning join us as Pastor Fred continues a series of Lenten messages walking with Jesus and his followers on a journey that will ultimately take them and all of us to the cross in a message entitled “The Word Became Flesh”. Jesus and his newly called disciples enter Capernaum. On the Sabbath Jesus was invited and entered the synagogue and began teaching. The people who heard him teach were astounded, “for he taught them as one having authority (exousia), and not as the scribes.”

Immediately following worship, you are invited to stay and join us in our Fellowship Hall for a very special fellowship time as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day featuring a “Stuffed Baked Potato Feast” with lots of delicious toppings, goodies, beverages, and great coffee. This is the friendliest and most welcoming fellowship time anywhere!

Later Sunday afternoon (after a nap) @ 2:30PM, SUMC is pleased to host the Cottonwood Community Band for an amazing afternoon of musical offerings. Joining the band will be the Verde Valley Voices which will add a wonderful dimension of voice and instrument. This event is open to the entire community and will be held in our Sanctuary. The Verde Valley Voices will sing a prelude starting at 2:30pm with the Cottonwood Community Band playing at 3:00pm.

All are invited to come and make a new friendship with the “most welcoming and friendly congregation” anywhere! Another great opportunity to invite, pick-up, and bring someone to SUMC to join in the exciting things happening in the life of this great congregation—See you this weekend!
