Christmas is the perfect time for us to celebrate the abundant, unconditional, and extravagant love of God for all of us. It is a time of gathering with family and friends and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Jesus is God’s perfect, indescribable gift, and the amazing thing is that not only are we able to receive this gift, but we are able to share it with others on Christmas and on every other day of the year.
Join us this week for our 9:30 am worship service as the Sedona UMC Chancel Choir under the direction of Norm LaDuke presents a very special Christmas cantata titled ‘King of Kings’. This is a beautiful presentation of the Christmas story brought to life for us through the scriptures and presented in song. “One is lifted into the very presence of His majesty, the Lord Jesus Christ, as one hears the presentation of this majestically-phrased and melodic Christmas cantata” written by the world-renowned composer, John W. Peterson. Stay and join us right after worship for our Annual Christmas Open House which will feature the “12 Soups of Christmas”, rolls, desserts and beverages. It’s a great opportunity to get to gather as community sharing the true spirit of Christmas. The friendliest folks and best fellowship you will find anywhere!
You and your family are invited to our Christmas Eve worship service which will be held December 24th at 6:00 PM. This service features Lessons, Carols, Candlelight, and Communion and is great for families and children. Come and celebrate with us the true reason for the season, celebrating the Hope, Love, Joy, and Peace that came in into the world through a precious little baby boy born in a manger in Bethlehem on Christmas. As your special gift to a special friend, consider picking them up and bringing them along with you to this wonderful celebration.
Visit our beautiful Tinsel Town nativity exhibit at Tlaquepaque beginning December 1st thru January 1st—our theme is “Lord, Hear Our Prayers” an interactive display providing the community the opportunity to submit their Christmas prayers which will be prayed over by our prayer ministry. Come and bring your prayers to the manger. So many great ministries and events happening at Sedona UMC—Like us on Facebook and visit our website at www.sedonaumc.org. In need of prayer? Prayer requests may be submitted online or by calling us at 928-282-1780. We are conveniently located at 110 Indian Cliffs Road off the Back O’Beyond roundabout on Route 179 in Sedona.
