We are happy to report that Pastor Fred Mast is recovering well from cardiac bypass surgery. The whole community wishes him only the best and speediest healing and love.  In John 13:34-35, Jesus said, “Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”  How seemingly obvious that commandment seems, yet how difficult it sometimes becomes to internalize daily.  Pastor Ed Womack, a favorite of the Verde Valley, will come out of retirement to preach at Sedona United Methodist Church this Sunday at 9:30.  Pastor Womack is a native Arizonan who retired to the Verde Valley in 1993 after serving churches around the state, in Hawaii, and in California.  His sermon, titled “A New Commandment,” is based on two scripture lessons: John 13:31-35 and Acts 11:1-18.

The community is invited to the Parking Lot Sale at Sedona UMC on Saturday, May 7th from 8:00am until noon. Members of the congregation will sell their garage sale items and the church library “The Good Book Nook” will be selling books.  There is always something good at this sale.  If you are interested in having your own table, please contact the church office.  Proceeds benefit the programs and ministries at the church.

No matter where you may find yourself in your faith journey—you are welcome at Sedona UMC!
