operation_christmas_childSUMC Reaches Out via Operation Christmas Child

(the “Shoebox Project”)

Because we will not be present, we can only imagine the joy on a child’s face when re-ceiving a shoebox filled with toys, school supplies and other items. However, we can provide the filled boxes. Soon SUMC will have boxes for you to fill from Samaritan’s Purse, the sponsoring Christian international relief organization. You may want to begin now to collect some of the following suggested items. Age categories for both boys and girls are: 2-4, 5-9, and 11-14.

Suggested items: toys (doll, stuffed animal, yo-yo, car, jump rope, game, etc.); school supplies (notebook, pencil & sharpener, crayons, etc.); hygiene items (soap in wrapper, toothbrush, washcloth, comb, brush, etc.); other (socks, t-shirt, jewelry, etc.)

SUMC’s United Methodist Women and Missions Team thank you in advance for your participation! We hope to receive many, many boxes in the Narthex between Sunday, Nov. 16 and Sunday, Nov. 22.
