Why get up on Sunday morning unless you have a 7 am tee time? How can you do anything else if your football team is playing at 10? Isn’t Sunday the perfect time to get that yard work done or catch a few extra zzzzzz’s? At 9:30 on Sundays at Sedona United Methodist Church, Pastor Fred Mast shows the reasons so many do get up and get themselves to the place that restores more than golf or extra sleep. On October 25th–yes, on Sunday morning–Pastor Fred will answer that question with a sermon called “The Power of Being a Prayer-Filled Community of Faith.” Find out why folks come from all over the Verde Valley to be part of a group that cares, a group that prays, a group that shares their faith with each other and with you.
The community is invited to visit Sedona United Methodist Church on Halloween. The church will have their first “Trunk or Treat” event in the parking lot from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. It will be a fun time! Trunk or Treat is a fun and safe way for kids to celebrate Halloween. Members of the Sedona UMC congregation will gather in the church parking lot with their car trunks decorated in Halloween fashion and will pass out candy to the trick or treaters. “Trunk or Treat” is a FREE event. Feel free to stop by the church on your way to Trick or Treating in Uptown Sedona! We’ll even have a hot dog stand for those who need a quick dinner.
