Sedona United Methodist Church’s mission statement is “Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ by welcoming all people, worshiping God joyfully, caring for each person, discovering Christ’s transforming love, and serving God’s world.” This was something we agreed on and now go forward to make it how we live in our everyday lives. What does this mean to you? Where can we move closer to our goals, our mission? What ideals do you set for yourselves and how do you strive to live up to them? Does this touch you personally, in our church, in our community, as a citizen of our country, and as a world participant?
No Sunday School for kids during the summer but childcare is available every week for those under 5. For older kids, there are packets in the pews full of quiet puzzles and games to keep all busy and happy. Monday night at 6:30 continues to be a very popular bible study. Please join in the fun and discussion! Holy Spirit bible study on Saturdays at 10 will resume in the fall. Contact Jan Shuman at 203-0586 if you are among the interested and vocal to get the adult Sunday morning bible study up and running soon. Remember the food bank! We need many items–just fill up that grocery cart in the second floor lobby, under the stairway. See our online newsletter for specific items requested but all nonperishable foods are welcome.
