Welcome in the New Year of 2015 with worship at Sedona United Methodist Church.  This year will be full of valuable mission trips and works as we try to increase our service to our community, our state and our world.  While sitting in the pew on Sundays feeds our souls (and the music is great!  I hear we may have a bell choir this week!), we also need to be out where we are needed, in the trenches, in the towns, in the missions.  One of our valued connections is Faithworks–check out FaithWorks4us.org.  How about YOU as a missioner?  Please consider supporting FaithWorks missions in 2015 either by supporting any and all mission trips with monetary donations, committing to be a prayer warrior or by participating in the mission yourself (this is by far the most fun part)!  Suzie Dunn is looking for happy mission minded people to join her Saturday March 7 at The Olive Branch in Rimrock from 7:30 to 4:30.  The Olive Branch provides Christian family-type living for men and women with developmental disabilities.  We volunteers would offer the likes of cleaning, painting, light building repairs, landscaping and whatever the administrator things we can do ALONGSIDE the residents.  The cost is $30/person (includes lunch) or $50 for a family of two or more.  If you have ideas for mission or just want to get your feet wet in other ways, come to church!  Join the Outeach or Mission teams.  Looking for a supportive community to laugh, sing, hug, and pray with?  Visit our website www.sedonaumc.org or call 928-282-1780 for more information.  Sedona UMC is located at 110 Indian Cliffs Road, off the Back O’ Beyond roundabout on Route 179 in Sedona.  We always have professionally staffed nursery care and everyone is always welcome.
