Nobody likes to talk about stewardship.  People always think this means pressuring people to give money and it can be.  Not at Sedona UMC!  Our stewardship series comes to an end this week with the real definition we try to remember:  Stewardship equals Worship and Love.  Stewardship means taking good care of something precious–your friends, your neighbors, your home, even your car or a pair of shoes.  It also means taking good care of your church and your faith.  This can be with money but, more often, it’s with your presence, your talents, or your love.

Kudos to the leaders who pulled off a very successful Holiday Boutique last weekend!  There were crafts and pies and gourmet coffee and beautiful art.  Wonderful job.  Please remember the Thanksgiving Interfaith service at St. John Vianney at 7pm on Tuesday, November 25th.  This is a very moving and interesting worship service complete with singing and gratitude.  If you’d like to join the choir for this event, we can set you up!   Sign up for the new Bible study event, “Under Wraps.”  This is an Advent fun event.  Keep 12/21 on your calendar for this year’s cantata with the chance choir–always a wonderful, uplifting service.

SUMC is located at 110 Indian Cliffs Road off the Back O’Beyond roundabout of Route 179 in Sedona.  Did you know that you can listen to a sermon or service that you missed?  They are online.  Visit our website www.sedonaumc.org or call 928-282-1780 for more information on worship, the hear past services, for missions, bible study, children’s play group, and any of the many activities of our church.  Many opportunities exist for wonderful adult Sunday School and many bible and issue discussion groups.
