DSC_0648Sedona United Methodist Church will be bursting with music during the November 2nd service!  Our choir director, renowned pianist and Methodist pastor Lily Chou, will play with a trio of stringed-instrument musicians to open our service at 9:30 sharp.  We will also hear Pastor Lily’s son, Leon, on cello and Lily will finish off our service with Rachmaninoff!  Rev. Jimelvia Martin will preach and our chancel choir will sing a beautiful rendition of This Lonesome Valley complete with flute accompaniment.  We have a baptism this week too which only adds to the glory!

The bustle of the holiday season is upon us as we start rehearsals for our Thanksgiving music and Christmas cantata.  Please join us for a week or longer.  We have wonderful music lined up that is not difficult but comes together beautifully.  We especially need sopranos but will be thrilled to have anyone with any voice range.  You can call us to ask more questions or just join us on any Thursday at 6:30 in the choir room on the third floor.  We have a lot of fun and we only need you!

The Holiday Boutique is set for Saturday and Sunday November 15-16.  Many crafters will have tables to temp you with and get that Christmas list taken care of.  More information to come.  SUMC is located at 110 Indian Cliffs Road off the Back O’Beyond roundabout of Route 179 in Sedona.  Did you know that you can listen to a sermon or service that you missed?  They are online!  Visit our website www.sedonaumc.org or call 928-282-1780 for more information on worship, the hear past services, for missions, bible study, yoga, children’s play group, and any of the many activities of our church.  Many opportunities exist for wonderful adult Sunday School and many bible and issue discussion groups.
