UMCOR trains Early Response Team volunteers to respond to natural disasters, to mitigate further damage from rain, wind, or mold, salvage belongings gently, remove debris, and protect all possible insurance claims. Most importantly, each ERT learns to provide a listening ministry, just as Jesus did to all who suffered losses. Most ERTs help locally; some teams deploy nationally for 3-10 days. Arizona ERT teams have served in four major disasters in the past two years. Upcoming training opportunities taught by UMCOR-certified trainer Polly Turner are listed below.
ERT Basis Training Events
$30 registration covers manual, badge, background checks, lunch and snacks.
