church-pews.jpgIf the old wooden church pew could talk, what wondrous tales it might have to tell!  Would it share life stories of people who through the ages have come to sit upon it?  What in the world are these people doing here week after week?  Would there be stories told of hope and faith and the difference it has made in the life journey of folks?  Would there be songs sung about the community as they came together to celebrate God’s goodness and grace?

Sedona United Methodist Church and retired pastors Phyllis and Arland Averill will celebrate what it means to cultivate a life in common this week at the 9:30 am service of worship.  They will explore what it looks like to be committed to sharing God’s love with one another and committed to honoring Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  The Bible says, “Above all else, live in a way that brings honor to the good news about Christ.” (Philippians 1:27 CEV)  Join us for “Autobiography of an Old Pew.”  SUMC is located at 110 Indian Cliffs Road, just off the Back O’Beyond roundabout of Route 179 in Sedona.  Nursery is provided and all are welcome!
